This large duchy is the home of the king of Oludhor. Technically
only about half of the duchy is controlled by the duke, while the rest
is the territory of the king. However, since the king maintains Ol-Pudh
as his family's duchy, the distinction is not significant.
The duchy is primarily inhabited by halflings. The halflings of
Ol-Pudh use animals of various types to help with tasks. Quite a few
halfling druids settle in the duchy, and have brought a wide variety of
animals from their travels. The halflings will also purchase other
animals in good condition. Predators are used as hunting or guard
beasts, while other animals are used as mounts or beasts of burden.
Some of the halflings from Ol-Pudh accompany the travelling
Ardevoran nobles, serving as aides or scouts. Because of such
friendships, the kingdoms of Oludhor and Ardevora are strong allies.
Ol-Oto was settled by gnomes long ago.
This is the newest duchy of the kingdom. Originally an independent
city-state, Dragon's Gate joined the kingdom when the king offered a
ducal Cainam Crystal to XXX2, father of the current duke. Dragon's Gate
is a small duchy, but strategically located in a defensible position.
It has thwarted attacks from orcs and Vei, and the Cainam crystal
provides the duke with even more power to defend his territory.
The population of Dragon's Gate is mixed.
Unfortunately, the duchy is currently split between the ruling duke and a would-be usurper, Baroness Dorwina. Both command armies, and while the duke has the support of the king, Dorwina has a red dragon family as allies. Dorwina is rumored to have an alliance with Duke Nadjisto of Daracor, in Carregor.
