Altema is one of the smaller kingdoms of Sogel. It is ruled ruthlessly by XXX, a high priest of Bane. XXX's minions enforce his will, and the dukes of the land are little more than puppets.
XXX has an alliance with Tycin, in Sarpace, and K'Saku in Wahovea. The insectoids provide XXX with some of their insect-beasts, and the sahuagin of K'Saku provide sharks and other deep-sea creatures. XXX augments these creatures with his unholy magics. Flying giant spiders and clawsharks are some of the various nefarious creatures created by XXX
There is an underground resistance dedicated to overthrowing XXX. The resistance uses sabotage and the occasional assault to weaken XXX's position.
